PVG PRODUCTION LINE FOR POWDER COATINGS
The high-technology line is designed for processing of dry bulk materials to produce a finished product in the form of powder paints or powder coatings. The line consists of the following units:
- Container mixer for mixing dry feed components, - Twin-screw extruder for melting and dispersion of this premix, - Crusher for crushing extrudate into chips, - Mill for grinding the prepared chips into powder, - Screen for sieving the fractions, - Unit for precise filling with the finished product.
Production process
The dry paint components are filled into the container mixer according to the formulation and the mixing cycle of the required duration. At the end of the mixing cycle, the premix is transported to the docking station above the receiving hopper-feeder of the twin-screw extruder. The premix enters the barrel of the extruder, where it is melted and dispersed by the screws under the influence of the operating temperatures set by zones. The melt generated by the extruder is fed into the cooler inlet, where the melt cools down, solidifies and is transported to be crushed into chips.
The resulting chips are fed into an impact classifier mill. In the grinding chamber, the product is ground to the required particle size distribution. The ground product is fed by the air flow to the cyclone-collector, from which the product then goes to the control sieve, the fine fraction is drawn into the filter-dust collector, and the coarse fraction is returned to the grinding chamber for additional grinding. The finished product is discharged from the control sieve through a valve to the semi-automatic filling station.
Throughput
The line can be configured to operate from 50 to 1200 kg/h.
