PVG EXTRUSION LINE FOR POWDER MATERIALS
The extrusion line for the production of powder coatings is a part of the complex production process and used for the production of polymer powder paints. The functions of the unit are feeding, mixing, heating, cooling, crushing. At the end of this unit you get chips ready as ideal feed for a milling.
The line includes a twin-screw extruder and a cooling belt/drum crusher.
Performance
Through the docking station, the premix of powder paint is fed into the receiving hopper of the extruder. From the hopper, the raw material is pulled into the extruder barrel by the screws. By means of the screws, the melt heated in the barrel areas is pushed through the outlet of the extruder into the cooler. The melt is fed into the gap between the rollers, rolled out on the belt into a thin film and cooled using a water-cooling system located under the belt. Then this film goes to the crusher located at the end of the belt and is transformed into chips. The required thickness of the chips is ensured by adjusting the gap between the rollers using the adjusting handle. At the crusher output the crushed chips are collected into a chip container installed under the discharge outlet of the crusher, or fed directly into the mill for grinding.
